This course take plase in Live Steaming  mode with  the Zoom platform, participants will be able to constantly interact with the speaker.

The global economy has given businesses broader access than ever before to markets all over the world. Therefore, it becomes more and more important for exporting companies to react immediately and actively to all input concerning expedition matters. Efficiency and effectiveness should not concern just the productive side of companies, but also export formalities play an essential role. Well-prepared employees with specific know-how allow companies to be more competitive globally. This course offers hands-on know-how for the day-to-day business of companies involved in international trade.

This course is structured in two modules: “Shipping goods abroad: basic” will be held on May 8th and “Shipping goods abroad: advanced” will be held on May 15th.

The two modules can be taken separately.

Target

This course offers hands-on know-how for the day-to-day business of companies involved in international trade.

Target participants

Employees of exporting companies and international trade (shipping sector, sales, procurement, finance, projects, order processing, customs administration, etc.).

Course contents

  • Understanding customs duties, taxes (VAT), customs clearance, intra community trading and mandatory announcements, declarations & certifications
  • Basics for limitation of liability (GC Spedlogswiss, CMR, Montreal-agreement, Hague-Visby-rules, …) / transport insurance & filing (transport order)
  • (Transport- / customs-) documents: sense, sourcing, filing, … and using them in combination with a letter of credit (for example: T1, T2, CIM, CMR, FCR, Carnet TIR, Carnet ATA, AWB, B/L)
  • Aspects for determination and proof of preferential origin
